When and Where can I purchase a fair pass?

Brown County Fair Pass

Tickets will be on sale at the banks in late August. Membership tickets may be purchased by any Brown County resident but must be purchased from either a Director or Officer of the Society.

Someone will be in the fair office to sell membership and season tickets (TBA).

Membership tickets may be purchased from any Director or Officer until September 21. Membership is available to any Brown County resident over the age of 17.  You can also purchase tickets at the gates during the fair.

General Admission - Rides Free - $8.00
Exhibitors (Season Ticket) - $20.00
Senior Citizen (Thursday Only) - $3.00
Membership ( Adult County Resident Only) - $22.00
Jr. Fair Exhibitor Tickets  - $2.00
Mechanical Rides All Day with Season Ticket, Membership/Jr. Fair Ticket - $4.00

Parade line-up & entry form

2009 Brown County Fair ParadeThe parade will line-up in the parking lot at the new Jr./Sr. High school of Georgetown Exempted Village Schools on Monday evening, September 27th beginning at 4:30 p.m. The parade will move out at 5:30 p.m. and arrive at the fairgrounds at 6:30 p.m.

Note: All participants must pre-register so that a line up list can be pre-planned and distributed before the line up. Please, no parting on the blacktop at high school to allow room for parade lineup. Also political candidates must ride on the float of their party. No candidate will be permitted individual floats. Those not pre-registering may or may not be permitted at the end of the parade. There will be No announcement of units not pre-registered as they come in the center ring. NO CARS OR FLOATS ARE TO UNLOAD UNTIL THEY PASS THE ADMINISTRATION BUILDING AND BEEF BARN.

Please fill out an entry form and send to the secretary by September 15th.

Where can I get a Fair Book?

The books will be at most every bank in the county after August 5th as well at Fayetteville Hardware and Sardinia Feed & Supply.

The books are in limit supply, so you must request a book from the teller. There will be books also at the library and copies may be made.

There will be brochures in many places around, such as banks, Fayetteville Hardware, Sardinia Feed & supply. There are lots of brochures and they have most everything except rules and entry blanks.  

How do I get to the Fairgrounds?

The Brown County Fair is located in Georgetown, Ohio at 325 West State Street. Parking is availble at the fairgounds and 3 off-stie locations.  IGA Plus/Pamida parking lot, St. George Catholic Church parking lot, and the parking lot next to old IGA on South Main.

Click on the map button at the bottom of the main page under the Map & Directions to view a Google Map. Click on one of the icons and enter your address to get directions to the fair or one of the off-site parking areas.

How do I enter an exhibit?

Click on Floral Hall under Quick Links at the right. 

Also information on entering items is in the official fair book. Fair books can be picked up at the local banks in Brown County.

REGISTER THE DAY OF SHOW from 8:30-10:00am in the Danny Gray Activity Center (located on the west side of fairgrounds behind Rhonemous Hall) Entry fee is $10.00 per baby. (this does not include gate admission to the grounds.) DRESS IS CASUAL!!! 

All entrants to the fair will be required to pay the regular admission fees.  Children under 2 yrs of age will be admitted to the grounds free with a paid adult admission.  All profits help fund the Jr. Fair Horse complex and exhibitors.  The Brown Co. Horseman’s and the Brown Co. Agricultural Society will not be held responsible for any loss of entry. - Entry Form (PDF)

What are the hours of Operation of the Fair?

The fair gates open at 8:00 a.m. daily and the fair usually ends around 11:00 p.m.

In 1965 a rule was set into place that no pop was to be sold in cans because of the danger of people slipping on them.
